Or, you could do like I did -- I made the rack removable. I use my trailer for all sorts of stuff. Remove several bolts, lift off the rack, switch tongues to put the short one back on, and viola - I have my utility trailer back. It is sure nice for me to space enough on the trailer for more than a couple of kayaks. We did a day trip with a group this weekend and it sure made the shuttle easy. Nine kayaks on the trailer and three on the van.
