Shop: low back deck and lee cocking

Any opinions or personal experiences and any corrections possible like
maybe adding cosmetic height to the stern deck?

..i added 1/4" to my kayak dimensions and it lee cocks a bit. I changed the design, and could be the stern tips don't stick up high as it ought to. The boat is ok except for that.

ok thats not a big deal i just would rather it would slightly weathercock and then come to near neutral with a skeg down, i know this is subject to wind speed and wave height/current speed etc. It is a pain in heavy wind/flat seas to have a difficult time turning into the wind..lifting the skeg helps a lot.

Since i have a skeg, i assume the lee cocking is an above the water line profile of the stern deck(wind) problem. I may add a fin on top of the stern deck..running just aft of the hatch..to the tip of the stern...should act like a wind vane. If this works then i could actually build a new deck to match the height...or just leave a fin in place.

what do you think?
