Charles,
To follow up with my last post on rigging the line, I run the 1/8" line from the cockpit forward on top of the deck beams, over and around the forwardmost deck beam and back to the cocpit. I feed it through one of the masik lashings and sew it back to the other end to form a continuous loop. Leave an 8" tail to tie to the bag. That routing keeps the line to the side and out of the way.
