In addition to what you have, you need:

- Enough padding on the cheek plates (or sides of the hull) to prevent you from shifting from side to side. You don't need the hook shaped pads that whitewater kayakers use and they can be detrimental to performing some maneuvers. The simple, small pads in the outfitting album at the link below work just fine.

- Padding to brace your knees/thighs against. Depending on the size and shape of your cockpit, these may be anything from simple underdeck padding to elaborate thigh braces. The important thing is that you must be able to hold yourself in place and control the boat.

Adding this type of padding increases your control in ALL situations, not just when rolling. Having a good connection between your body and boat makes a huge difference in your confidence on rough water.
