I have heard of a program, run by the same officer who wrote the wavelength
magazine article, where microdots are placed in various locations on the boat.
I don't know exactly what info is put in these dots, but it sounds like
a promising idea. They'd be very difficult to spot if you didn't know they
were there. I believe you still need a HIN before you can participate
in the program, though.
