I've paddled Shawn's boat and like the seat a lot. I'm about a foot shorter than Shawn so a fair amount of difference in size. I liked the idea enough I was going to borrow his mold and then I decided to make my own so I've now got one just about ready to use. I'm going with a deep seat although not as deep as Shawns coupled with a soft back band which will hopefully make rolls a bit easier. I also went for the longer leg support. One of the buddies I build with also plans to use the mold -- we'll see after I build my first one. I'm trying it in one step -- I've done the initial mold out of plaster of paris which I plan to epoxy and then either use wax or cover it with saran wrap as a mold release.
