: Hi Dave,

: Very nice boat. I may want to do something similar. My wife and
: two young kids are all non-paddlers but might like to come along
: for a ride.

: I'm curious, where are you located? The neighborhood in the pictures
: looks really familiar - but maybe that's just because all suburbs
: look the same. Are you anywhere near Sacramento?

: Chris

Yep... We go blackberry picking out at Lake Natoma. For fishing we'll go north and pick a lake to troll. As I said before, my wife dosn't paddle, she rides. And one of my kids tries to paddle with me, but works against me as much as not.
This all started at Lake Natoma when my wife & I were in a plastic canoe, the wind was blowing a little stiff, and pushing me around. Two "old ladies" came out with a Old Town open double and proceded to out run me all over the lake! I was pounding as hard as I could, while trying to look totaly casual. That got me looking at kayaks, I found about strip building, but couldn't find a design to fit my needs, Found the Guillemot site and instantly saw the potental of the "Little Auk" And I do LOVE paddling (with) my wife. But I'm going to start another 14' for just padding.
