In the Febraury 2003 Sea Kayaker magizine they had an artical about installing a foot powered Guzzler 450-S bilge pump. I have a Pygmy Coho, and I'm considering installing this type of pump. I have short legs, so mounting the pump directly to the bulkhead is a problem. The article suggests a glassed in braket. Has anyone istalled this type of pump?; is the braket mount the way to go?; what about a track mount, so the pump could be relocated for different size paddlers?; Also is a side hull or deck discharge the best?; Is the best place for the strum box right at the pump location(forward) or is behind the seat better?
