In Response To: Strip: Wood Filler That Imitates Cedar (Bobby Curtis)
: Gaps filled with a mixture of epoxy and wood flour end up being a lot harder
: then the adjacent cedar strips. This makes sanding a real challenge. Has
: anyone found a wood filler that when cured will have the look and feel of
: cedar and therefore be as soft as the surrounding cedar strips?

I use Dunham's water based (powder mixed with water) wood filler. It sets up fast
and sands like wood. The natural color works with northern white cedar and you
can color it with latex artist's colors to match western red cedar.
