Material: Elastomer # of coats?

I'm cruising along on my Yost FAP-15 folder. The basic frame is done and tonight I hope to complete the coaming. I've been a very good boy and done things by the book so far - following Captain Yost and his first mate Paul's directions carefully. Now my deviant nature is about to reassert itself. Yost uses 8 oz. Polyester/Hypalon or Neoprene for the skin, and I'll be using 8 oz. Nylon (Dyson was out of the poly) and the elastomeric roof coating.

My question: How many coats of the stuff should I plan for?

(Working hard to be ready for a planned trip ~10 days away!)
