Pete, I should have read your original comments a few weeks ago - probably would not have been concerned then. I just got worried that I'd be going in circles and give up in disgust :) Got to relax and just get into it - just don't want my first one to be a failure :) I'll start building in the next couple of weeks.

I'm making my greenland paddle today & tomorrow. I've planed my rough-cut 2x4 nice and smooth, measured and marked the surfaces. Will be going to my dad's tomorrow to use his band saw to start the cutting. I measured last night and it has come out at 98 inches (long arms, long fingers) with a 17 inch loom. I that going to be too long?
