: Thanks
: Would you add another layer of 6 oz to the inside, outside or both?

I dunno. I have no experience with doubles. If it were a single and it were me, in my paddling environment (fairly warm water most of the time, few rocks or big waves), I wouldn't go more than one 6 oz. inside and out. I like a light boat and am willing to sacrifice ultimate strength to get it. Again, my paddling environment is pretty benign.

You situation is most likely different, but as a general guide, I would not try to out-guess the designer. He has spent a lot more time thinking about this than most of us and unless you have a STRONG reason to do otherwise, I would stick with the designers suggestions.

Add glass inside first, then outside.
