I'll second that, I've got Rob Mack's external strongback too and with it you can build most any boat, specially since you can adjust the length. And it's very strong and rigid. Mine's a bit bigger section I think though, like 6" x 8" I think. Going from memory here, it's at home and I'm at work, memory sometimes ain't all that wonderful anymore .
