: For me I've got a place that's a bit over a hundred miles away, I just order
: enough for a couple boats and unload the kayak trailer and go get it :)
: Then I can also bring home a pile of cedar too.

Bill, Wood World in Chicago stocks marine Okoume and Douglas fir. They may be a bit closer to you. Here is a link to their webpage.

Call them for availability and prices.

I've purchased 3mm okoume 1088 with damaged corners (which I was going to cut off anyhow) for $20 a sheet. Found it in their rack next to the good stuff I was there to buy, and asked them how much they wanted for it. I think they were happy to get rid of it.

They also handle West Marine epoxies, but you may get a better price elsewhere.

You don't often think of Chicago as being a boat building mecca, but this place is located near the boatyards that line the Chicago River. A lot of folks who sail on Lake Michigan store their boats in these yards over the winter, and that is also the time when repairs get made. Just down the block from these guys is a sailmaking loft, and Mauritzon, the company that supplies the PVC fabric Tom Yost favors for covering his skin-on-frame kayaks.
