Why were you removing the blocks?

: I am in the process of re-varnishing my Artic Tern. While trying to remove
: the blocks that Pygmy uses to apply extra pressure to the straps that hold
: down the hatches, I heated the area with a heat gun to loosen the epoxy. I
: think I applied too much heat (dumb?) and delaminated the area near the
: block. The attached picture shows the delamination. What are my options
: for this? Any quick fixes? In addition it looks bad and I don't really
: want to just varnish over it.
