Strip: Night Heron vs Outer Island

I'd like to build one of these boats (as my first build). It is unlikely I'll be able to demo either boat (Calgary - Kelowna - Kamloops area). I mostly paddle on a reservoir that isn't too windy. I've had a Nimbus Telkwa for 5 years (expedition boat). I enjoy rolling & sculling. I'm 5'8" 140 lbs size 8 shoes. I've read that the OI is a better tracker than the NH. Any advice appreciated.
