I had significant deformation on both of my projects. On my Outer Island, In a couple of places I had to resort to attaching plywood "U's" to the are I needed to pull out and using wedge scraps to pull it out. After the final taping they were easy to saw/sand off and you would never know they are there.

For both of my Kayak's I did the bulkhead work after the deck and hull was joined.
