Shaping with heat

This is a purely theoretical idea since I have never built a stripper before. This idea is in line with Nick's garbage bag sun-curing method of annealing glassed stuff. If the deck in question is bound to the forms, could not heat be used to reshape the deck to its original configuration? The heat would be set so that the glass/epoxy work gets relatively hot thus somewhat soft. Once it is soft the heat source is removed and the deck allowed to cool while still attached to the forms. It's my bet that once the deck is removed, it will keep its proper shape.

Anyone have any comments about this idea?
