I forgot, 3 painters tape is the stuff, duct or duck tape leaves residue and does not keep tension as well as painters white all purpose tape. I used it every 6 inches or so.

: Build the hull, whack (or use builder's string) to unglue the hull from
: forms. No need to disconnect the forms from strongback to do this. A
: slight lateral movement of the forms will dislodge the glue. The build the
: deck. When deck is done, remove the hull to get at the forms to whack or
: use string again.

: Or, much easier in my humble opinion, use spring clamps to hold the strips to
: the forms (you need holes or slots in the forms), and where needed, use
: blue painter's masking tape to puul the new strip toward the previous
: strip. I found that whether you use clamps or glue or even staples at the
: forms, the strips often need to be held together at points in between the
: forms. I used pieces of dowel rod the same diametier as my coves, put
: those pieces in the cove, then used tape over the dowel to pull the new
: strip toward its neighbor. I haven't done the hot glue method myself, but
: having used hot melt glue for other things, I can't imagine that it is any
: quicker or easier than the clamp+tape method. For tape, I think masking
: tape is much better than duct tape, it doesn't leave all that glue residue
: on the wood to gunk up your block plane and/or sandpaper.
