I built a hybrid Cormorant - no strongback. Wired up the hull, filletted,
removed wires, cleaned up, glassed it. If you are happy with this S+G part
of the process, that gets you a pretty rigid base. I then hot-glued in a
series of half-forms to strip the deck (probably fewer than I should) and
got through this just as if I was doing a full stripper on a strongback.
It certainly worked for me and I'd do it the same way again if I was
building another hybrid of a similar design.
