Why is it difficult understanding wet sanding? It is by far the fastest and easiest way to prepare for the next coat of varnish. Some builders are "capable" of building a boat to furniture standards and others make excuses. It may be just a kayak to you, but most of the contributors here also build "works of Art". It must be a fetish. Have a nice paddle
