This might not save the foam, but might save your epoxy and wood. You'll have to get a corner or edge of the foam separated (razor blade or other sharp object) first. Then, while pulling gently, you use a small brush to apply a solvent (mineral spirits works on many adhesives) to that area. Keep pulling gently and wetting that seam and,eventually, the foam should come off.

And, as George implied, the natural tendency seems to be to to use too much adhesive for jobs like this.
