glass problems

I'm building a pygmy stitch 'n glue boat. I'm joining the panels together to make the full length panels which will be stitched together to form the hull.

The panels butted up against each other & a layer of thin glass tape is applied to one side. You then put a sheet of mylar over the top & put a couple of pounds on top. After curing you flip it over & repeat on the other side.

I've glued up a couple of them & have a couple of sections where the weave of the cloth is visible after curing. The surface is smooth, so i think the cloth lifted or there bubbles appeared. I called pygmy, they suggested that next time I squeegee the glass to ensure that no bubbles are there. I tried that, but then that leaves the top of the weave exposed. Should I do this, and then give the weave another coat to fill it?

I plan to sand out the imperfections, and then cut tape to fit in the spaces & reglass. But I want to fix what is wrong with my process so that when I get to glassing the hull I won't be fighting this every where.
