Actually, I wanted everything except the "lots of freeboard" part. I paddled a canoe with my wife once, and the wind kept blowing us off course and making it difficult to progress against even during the times we managed to stay pointed into it. I'd go for a rowboat before a canoe, but I've oared a sabot, and find I like the way a kayak slides right along. Sailing is easy, but I want to minimize extraneous equipment and setup time. Keeping in mind that I like to innovate, I was thinking of something like an enlarge CLC Millcreek
