i finished a chesapeake 16 this year and it weighs 50 pounds. i did add some extra glass in the cockpit area and extra epoxy in the end pours. i also have 5 coats of marine urethane on it. it turned out great except for a little orange peal in the urethane - mainly from working in low temps upper 30's to low 40's. hey it's still lighter than plastic.
