Thanks Scott, It is a disease. The driving force behind this boat is plans for my next one (a gunter rig day sailer). Is there a cure? Whenever I finish a boat my wife gets pregnant; I don't know which is worse.

I built a stitch and glue kayak a few years ago. This one is Western Red Cedar with Sitka Spruce diamonds. There are clearer shots of the feature strip pattern on my Web site. Congrats on the G.A. (Great Auk?). You cross into a different realm when the thing actually could float... To the builder, it's always a boat; once it floats, no one else can deny - it is a boat.
