: They had okume a couple of years ago---locations in Glenview and Chicago.

Try their website. It says they have occume(marine) plywood and also lists phone numbers so you can call to verify thickness and price.

I got several sheets of 1/8th inch Meranti from Owl Hardwood in Lombard. As I recall it was $7 or $8 a sheet. On all sheets one side was very good. On some of the sheets the other side was, well, not very good, but I figured that for the price I could cut out the bad areas on a few sheets and still save a bundle.
Even if it took me three or four sheets to get the same amount of nice material
that I might get from 2 sheets of top quality stuff, I was still well ahead. the glue is exterior. I believe the major use for this stuff is for leveling floors and providing a base for carpeting, tile and vinylk flooring.

How do you plan to get your wood home? I've tried cartop carriers and the panels are so flexible that they bend back in the wind at any speed than 20-25 mph. You'll probably need either a pickup with a clear 4x8 foot area or a full size van. A 4x8 trailer will work.

Are you in the city or the 'burbs?
