Since I stripped out my Guillemot single and the wife and kids are really at me to get the thing out of the garage. I've cut out the cockpit opening, have done a little shaping and smoothing work with a hand plane, and am about ready to move the operation outside and have a go with a sander to smooth and shape it fully down. Any suggestions? Should I leave off the cockpit coaming until after I glass and join the deck and hull? Does RAKA still have the best prices on glass and epoxy? The hull and deck have pulled apart at the shear line in a few places where staples have come out, should I just ignore that and figure that some well placed clamps and straps can hold things together when I join the two? Regarding staples, I used only a minimal amount but need to start pulling them to fully shape and smooth the outside. Should I just leave them out and proceed promptly with glassing, or if I have to wait overnight or for a few days should I try to put them back in? Come on guys, help motivate me and save my marraige!
