Dave, I Have a CLC Cape Charles. What I did is to fabricate a small platform about 8" wide by 20" long or so, enough to span the deck across the front of the cockpit. To attach it to the deck I cut 2 x 4's to the curveature, then put 3/4" dowels with a notch for bungie cord. The deck bungies hold it very tightly. On the platform I put a small tackle box and a rod holder. A flyfishing catch and release net is also bungied to the foredeck. It works very well for trolling and driftfishing, I have had more luck trolling. I do not roll, however, and cannot attest to it's "rollability"...
