In Response To: cracked strongback... decided to start over (Malcolm Schweizer)

: Remember my wind-damaged strongback? I decided to start over. The fix I had
: got it straight, but it was a little wobbly, and a wobbly strongback isn't
: very strong, right? Thanks for the advice. I hate having to spend the
: extra time, but I am much happier now that I did it. It only took a short
: time to dismantle and will not take long to reassemble. Here is what I
: learned....
: 1. Starting over 1/4 of the way through is easier than starting over all the
: way through.
: 2. If building outside, put longer legs on the sawhorses and tether them to
: the ground.
: 3. If you are in doubt about something it's probably screwed up!!!!

Would definitely have been My choice. As you say, you will be much happier than if you were trying to " Make Do " and/or adjust all the way through the project.

Since you already know how to do it, it won't take much time and you'll be right back where you started/stopped.
