I built two boats from Pygmy. The company was great to work with. I built them both from kits and they went together great. before I took on the first project I had never even built a birdhouse, now I use most of my spare time thinking about building another kayak. Take your time and figure out what boat would be the one for you. Also, read through the archives on this board there is some great information from some great people in them. Be prepared to become addicted, I am putting the finishing touches on an Artic Tern, and while the varnish has been drying I read Nick's book on strip built kayaks, and have begun to sketch the forms on graph paper. It drives my wife nuts.
