: I need any info i can get on an old 14' sailing Kayak kit I picked up. I was
: told it is 50 or 60 years old. It apears to be covered in varnishrd cotton
: duc. it has wooden frame with shaped aluminum ribs. It has two hinged seat
: backs, a rope and pulley tiller rudder system. The lanteen rig goes on a
: mast(missing) that appeared to havebeen stepped to a hole on the point of
: thr cockpit cowling and held upright by a forstay and two stays to the
: outriggers. The keel is attached by whaat looks like door hinges. Yhe
: outrigers are wedge shaped and about 8' wide. does anyone have any idea
: what I've got? I'like some specs so I can restore it.

Get a camera and a tape measure or yard stick. A picture would certainly help.
So would knowing the width of the boat at the widest point. From knowing the length and beam ( width) soeone might be able to match up a description with an old catalog. Pictures of the aluminum ribs, and any other parts, like the rudder ( which might have a unique shape) would also help.
