First of all its fun....even if you don't know what you are doing...I started with Eric at Shearwater Boats, because I liked his designs (books, conversations etc.) Eric suggested I see Newfound for their kits... Now you have to understand, theirs is a different idea for a kit...as it is basicly the wood cut on a CNC, and all the parts, epoxy and fibreglas you need,instructions are kinda loose.

that being said, both Michael of Newfound, and Eric of Shearwater and easy to get in touch with and offer wonderful advice. I started my hybrid bairdarka March 15th, and I finished striping the deck last nite...Its on the front lawn, because its not quite ready for water yet...so it is a do-able project, with almost NO tools just time and patience. Any questions, I have a million pictures and the experts on this panel can offer loads of advice..
