: I have read about a wood called "Norway Spruce" here in the US. It
: is supposedly from Norway originally, and has long pendulus tips on the
: tips of the twigs. It is said to be one of the strongest woods based on
: weight. Does this sound like what your boat is made of?

Yes Actually i did not know that it was called Nowegian Spruce strange name because the biggest forest countrys are Sweden and Finland. It is the same tree as the christmas tree

And yes it is what we called a construction wood you can use it to "cluebeams" and other load carrying designs
