I use braided nylon rope on my tips. I cut a cove around the tip with a chainsaw file and soak the rope in epoxy. The wet rope is layed in the cove and temporarily taped to the blade. After the epoxy sets, I remove the tape and fair the rope ends into the blade side edges. The tip is then covered with 1/2 oz. glass.
