Congrats,
She sure looks pretty. I put my "adopted" canoe in the water for the first time
durring the last weak of april. The ice had broken up around the inlet to the lake and left me a couple hundred yards of paddle room. I tell ya, as cold as that water was I was sweating about putting myself in the drink. The canoe was a self design by a friend of mine. He stripped it then found himself wicked sensitive to epoxy so he gave it to me to finish. She paddles nice, but the wind really takes her. She is 16'4" with a 35"beam. A bit of tumble home and a wee bit o rocker. She runs a river like a dream but the lake winds make her a bit of a chore. Can't decide whether to comprimise her river handleing and putting on a keel.
BTW John, you plan on going to the Newfound rendevous in Sept?
Cheers,
Rick
