Yes. Check the can, of course, and see if they disagree with me -- and if they do, then get another can of paint. :)

This is basically the same thing as putting on two or more coats of paint when you first built the boat. You put on some paint, let it dry, sanded it to give the next coat some texure to adhere to, and so on. Well, you are just extending the time between coats by a dozen months or so. as long as whatever paint remains on the boat is well bonded ( not peeling or flaking off) the coats you put on this year should hold just fine.
