Yeah, you probably don't have enough wood on the boats to give you strength enough to haul them on top of a rack. You should be just fine with them hung in the top of a big truck. Good luck!!

I just moved an incomplete 16' stitch & glue kayak. It's still in flat panels, but they're 4mm x 16' long. I duct-taped them to a 16' long 2x4 and wrapped the whole thing in plastic. It's moved 250 miles and 150 miles with no apparent damage. I don't expect any to show up when I finally get back to work next week. (4 months after gluing the panels up)
