Hi Larry,

Took some time off to paddle after the Rendezvous. Wife in the butterfly Coho and me in a tuperware Perception Swifty that someone gave to me. What a dog! Put the boats away in late October. Then concentrated on hunting, forgotten honey-do lists and seasonal festivities.

I was planning on resuming work on my S&G in Jan. but work and other insignificant things got in the way. Need to get my priorities straight! Spent a couple of weeks last month just filling in some nooks and crannies of the sides of the Mrs.' boat and finally got around to varnishing the hull. Feels GREAT to be back in the shop!

Took it on a 10 mile trek down the Charles River last Sunday. Finally got some time in on mine this week. Kicking myself in the butt for waiting so long! Months ago I thought I'd make the Meet on the Beach affair but looks like I'll still be building or finishing up around then.

I'll be gluing up the deck this week. Looking for some ideas on patterns or shapes for the decorative veneer my boat. Got some quilted mahogany I'm thinking of using. Got any idess or leads? I was up 'till 5am Friday night trying to get caught up on the building forum going thru about 800 messages. I'm sure there's at least 2000 more in the archive that I've missed. You don't have to be away too long to miss a lot here!

Planning on going with Vaclav's hatch seal method this time around. I'll have to do some things in reverse order than what Pygmy does. Like glassing the deck before attaching it to the hull.

Thanks for asking about me. Hope I didn't bore you. I've missed the board and am glad to be back. How's your Guillemont ES coming along? Did I miss any pictures? Hope to see you in September.
