suggestions....1/8 plywood. i used doorskin. i'd never have gotten the deck/hull mated had i used 1/4".
DO cut out the forms and build a box beam strongback. the forms don't fit where they are supposed to but shift them so they fit the panels, staple to the forms, and glue up.
pull the stitches, and glue the gaps.
this boat was a learning experience for me. i used thickened epoxy on the hull, and poly-u on the deck. use the poly-u.
pay close attention to your scarf joints. not knowing what i was doing with the panel scarfs, i had steps at the joints and sanded throught the veneer in a couple spots.
i haven't even layed the first strip on my spring run yet and already i'm thinking sof. ordered putz's book as a primer and read snaith's website.
i'll call it a hobby till i learn to spell obsession.
