I used 5 minute Araldite to tack together the panels of my S&G kayak.
I then removed the stitches and ran a fillet of thickened epoxy along the length of the join.
It worked very well.
I like 5 min Araldite for tacking things together as it is nice and thick so doesn't run too much when filling gaps.
I don't generally use the slow drying stuff because I can just use normal epoxy resin and glue powder and Araldite is expensive.
