Pete, I just added a little wood flour and micro ballons (both red and white) till I got to the color that looked good. I only had a few tiny spots on the whole boat to fill, so I don't have lots of experience with the Durhams. I used a mehod I have been using with epoxy filler previously to fill the cracks. I tape, with masking tape, each side of the crack and force the slurry into the void with a putty knife and remove the tape. This leaves a very narrow filled area to sand. I sometimes use a dental syringe to apply the filler.
