: I bought some similar cloth at Boeing Surplus. When unrolled on the hull it
: was missing a couple crosswise threads in two places. After the wetout the
: flaws were visible but not awful, so I went ahead with the second layer.
: Again, after wetout they were not awful. The first fill coat made them
: nearly invisible, they only showed up in strong oblique light when viewed
: from exactly the right angle. The second fill coat made them go away
: altogether. This is not the exact same condition you describe, but may be
: of some help. Keep a squeegee handy, and check for buckles and darts every
: 20 min. or so, knocking them down as they occur. The light cloth is much
: tighter, harder to drape around compound curves, and fussier to wet out,
: but the upside is more strength for the weight.

I chickened out and saved it for the insides. I opened another bolt of cloth and it was perfect. Just finished one layer of full glass, one layer of waterline second layer, and a rub strip on ends. This cloth looks great, easy to lay down once fully wet, And a all around joy to work with. It went extremely well except for the cut ends or sides that was cut with a pair of scissors. They frayed quite a bit. I tiook off what
I could but their are a lot of strings left. What do I do with them? Sand off when dry or just fill over with other coats of resin?
