: when I needed to remove contact cement I .... sanded.

: can't remember what it was,
: I just remember it was lots of work, with the sander.
: it's more friendly than the chemicals.

: the hard cell foam thigh braces from pygmy are a wonderful thing.
: if they were not comfortable for you you probably didn't
: installed them correct.

: I have them & they are great !

Hi Erez,
This is the 4th season with my Coho and each year as my skil level increases, I customize my cockpit some more. The Pygmy outfitting is fine for entry level paddlers but I quickly wanted a tighter fit to the very generous cockpit (33x17"). I replaced
the backband with a Bombergear WW band, carved a minicel seat, added tapered hip braces, and made larger thigh braces that protruded into the cockpit and wraped around my leg. The Pygmy wedges are fine for edging and casual paddlng but when I'm hanging upsidedown during roll practice, working on my hip snap or recovering from a brace, I want something more positive. I have also added these thigh braces to my Guillemot ES because I enlarged the cockpit a little.

I added the plywood thigh braces to make the cockpit opening more like most commercial boats have. I can now make longer braces that wrap around my leg more.
See the link below to view something similar to what I have added.

Custom cockpit outfitting is an individual thing. Some people are quite happy with what was supplied with the boat. I like to keep trying for the ultimate fit for each of my boats. Not everything works the first time but I keep trying. I constantly make mental notes while paddling for future changes.

BTW/ The Coho is one sweet boat for all paddling levels. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

Thanks,
Larry C.
