In Response To: Glassing the inside of the hull? (Steve)

I take width measurements from sheer-to-sheer of 4-5 forms, make spreader sticks to match, and place them at the appropriate locations while the interior glass is curing. I cover the tips with packing tape to keep them from adhering. I cut a notch in the glass overhang so I can stretch a piece of packing tape over the whole thing. When you glass the deck, use the same set of sticks and you'll end of with a deck and hull that mate pretty well.

: I am about to glass the inside hull and I checked all width dimensions and
: they appear in the ball park. Not too wide or too narrow. Should I make
: sure after wetting out the hull inside to place something to keep it in
: shape or will it maintain the shape it was pre glassing? TIA
