: Well, first of all, I'm not trying to sell anything so I hope I'm not getting
: crosswise of the guidelines. Here's the situation.

: Last Fall, I sent a Grebe (kid's kayak - 13'6" LOA) out to Sea Kayaker
: Magazine for them to use in one of their reviews. It's the shiny one with
: the clearcoat finish. Well, they are done with it and I can get it back.
: However, the hassle of getting it packed up and freight back here
: (Minnesota) seems a bit much at the moment and there no plans for me to be

: Maybe this is a dumb idea, but just thought I would mention it in case
: someone didn't think it was dumb. Probably just e-mail me off the bbs.

Hey Grant and All

Anyone remember the plywood cut-out of a Man ( or woman ) back in the 60's that was stood up at the side of the hiway in southern Calif. with a note written on it, and an address somewhere on the east coast? The note said something to the affect that " I need a lift, going as far as you are going, toward ??? ( address given ) and just stand me up at the side of the road when you stop and I'll catch another ride. Don't remember all the details but I believe it made it to it's destination after several months. Had quite a story written on the back about it's travels.

Rather a neat idea, but I wouldn't suggest leaving the Kayak anywhere, or it would make it to the nearest garage or lake, never to be seen again. :)

Nice Idea Grant. Hope those Yak-Hounds don't hog it on the way. :) Lots a luck.
