'glass repair questions

Hey y'all,

I am in the process of repairing a fiberglass boat. The hull/deck seam has developed a crack about 2 feet long (looks like it has been there a while). I sanded all the paint away in the repair area, down to the 'glass. I laid in a small fillet and over that, two strips of light cloth, the narrower of the two on top, with yet another short and narrow strip ovr the portion of the crack that had an approximate 1/8" gap (maybe 8" total length of this strip) . I did not have the chance for a filler coat this morning, since the boat is not at my home. I'll go out today after work to press on with things.
I am using RAKA's non-blushing hardner, left over from my canoe project.
I have a few questions as to what to do next.

A). The boat is all fiberglass, so the repair will be painted. I have thought about doing a light fill coat of epoxy mixed with a fairing compound (micro-whatevers). This would give a bit more volume with less weight to the fill coat.....maybe I would just need one coat, then fair the repair after curing.

B). Use just epoxy fill coats, then feather the glass and do final fairing after curing.

C). Wait 'til the 'glass/epoxy cures as-is, then feather the edges of the 'glass layers. Then go over this with a fill coat of epoxy or epoxy/fairing fibers mix. Then do the final fairing......

One other concern...........It will be close to 24 hours since I laid the 'glass. Will this be a problem with the RAKA epoxy? When I did my canoe, I spaced the fill coats only about 12 hours apart, so I would not have problems with blushing. Is 24 hours pushing the limit? RAKA seems to take a fairly long time to get from tacky to "sandable", so I think I may be OK. Should I go on with the filler/build coats or should I wait. The boat needs to be ready to go by the 28th of April.

What would be the best approach to finishing the repair? a....b......or c.....or something else??

Thanks in advance,
garland
