Ryan,
Okay, I'll assume Scotty's right and your talking about the S&G Guillemot that Nick has posted on his site. I think you'll find it's a bit over 14', closer to 16’8”. Although it has been scaled down 10% by one builder.
: has anyone built it, from the free plans ?
Yes. Go to the top of the BBS index and click on the link to Guillemot Kayaks
http://www.guillemot-kayaks.com/index.html
Then find the link for Kayak Building at the lower part of the Guillemot Kayaks Home Page
http://www.guillemot-kayaks.com/Building/Building.html
Once in the Kayak Building Reports page you’ll find a link to Nick’s (your host) Stitch & Glue Kayak page.
http://www.guillemot-kayaks.com/Building/Stitch%26Glue/StitchAndGlue.html
: I am thinking of building it, but wanted to talk to someone who has built it already or is currently building one.
Here you’ll find several links to folks who have built Nick’s S&G Guillemot kayak. Read these pages and check out the photos. If you decide to go further with the project the plans for the boat are at the Free Stitch & Glue Sea Kayak Plans link. (Tip: print these in landscape)
Now these are free plans, which means that after hours of learning to loft the stations and profiles of the parts from the tables of offsets you’ll have a set of plans. Just remember how well you create your free plans will determine how well your boat looks and performs. You will be spending a few hundred bucks on material and maybe a hundred hours of your time here; so be sure you want to go with free plans.

: For example, like supports or inner braces add, pictures wanted, how you
: connected the two 8 foot lengths together.
Generally S&G has no inner structure other than fiberglass and resin. As far as scarfing plywood goes I’ll refer you to the BBS achieves and the Old archives where you can spend days reading various views on this ancient art. Also I would recommend Nick’s book for its discussion of lofting and other aspects of kayak building that may be applicable to S&G, although the book is intended for strip builders. There’s free plans here also!

A couple of good books on S&G you should own are The New Kayak Shop and The New Kayak Shop: More Elegant Wooden Kayaks Anyone Can Build, both by Chris Kulczycki. You can order these through this link:
http://www.shearwater-boats.com/bookstore.html
As you go through the building process you will find helpful answers to any questions and solutions to any problems that may arise from the folk on this forum.
Hope this is helpful.
