Nearly any clear epoxy can be made to work. I built 2 boats with leftover floor paint, whatever was lying in the boneyard. 4 different kinds, from Neogard, Permagile, and 2 flavors of Sika, so it can be done. One kit was 7 years old. Be prepared for various viscosities, gel times, blush, etc. though, and maybe some variation from batch to batch. And maybe some mysterious problems down the timeline.

It seems that all the pros on this board stick with name brand material, although there is no unanimity about which brand. My take on it now is, "Why learn from your own expensive mistakes when you can learn from theirs?" The cost savings vs. the potential problems look like a bad tradeoff. Ya pays your $$$ and takes yer choice.

: I normally use and am very happy with Raka epoxy, however I came across this
: site and the epoxy prices seem very good. Has anyone tried the epoxy from
: US Composites?

: The web site doesn't mention anything about blush.
