I have no knowledge of the Hunter Trailer... but from my experience with designing and redesigning a trailer for a buddy, it is much better to have the kayaks mounted on edge versus "right side up". You'll notice if you search the archives that many people recommend storing kayaks on edge. This is especially important if you happen to have a tupperware boat (they tend to sag - especially when heated by the sun).
